Clare stood up taking a deep breath. She grabbed her bag.

"Let me help." Eli said taking it and putting an arm around Clare.

Clare frowned. "I got it, Eli." She said. It was obvious she hated being helped, even when she needed it. "Let me go sign out or whatever " she said pulling away

"Clare. Why don't you just go t the car." He said persistently.

Clare frowned and shook her head. "I'm fine Eli. Why don't you go sit in the car?" She jokes. She smiled and walked over to the counter.

Eli smirked slightly. "I refuse to let you do all the work." He said snatching her bag quickly, jokingly.

Clare laughed. "Gimme that!" She said and grabbed it back. She was handed and card.[list=1][*]

Clare turned around. "Ready?" She asked.

Eli put his arms around her waist. "Only if you are."

"I am. Can we stop by Jenna's?" She asked.

Eli nodded and lead her to the car.

Clare smiled and got in. She sent Jenna a text and took Eli's hand.

Eli kissed Clare's hand. "I love you."

Eli drove to Jenna's.

Clare got out and smiled. She knocked on the door.

Eli stood behind Clare and looked around. Jenna answered the door and msiled at Clare. "Clare! So good to see you!"

Ty ran over and hugged Clare's legs.

Clare laughed and picked him up. "Hey sweet boy.' SHe said. "I've been..." she looked at Eli.

Eli smiled and Jenna and looked at Clare. Jenna looked at Clare.

Clare sighed. "We found out today that I have cancer." Clare finished.
