"I'll..give you two a minute." Adam stepped back outside.

Eli kissed Clare's neck. "WE better stop. You need rest."

Clare nodded and looked at him. "Do you want me to go to your bed or.." she looked down.

"I'll be right up to keep you warm.." He smiled then looked at her. "Is that alright with you?"

"Talk to Adam. I can wait." Clare said and walked into his too..
Adam came back in.

"Thanks a lot." Eli smirked at Adam and sat down.

"Sorry!" Adam said and laughed.

Eli looked down. "She had cancer." He said in a hushed voice, as to not let Clare hear.

Adam frowned. "But she's gonna be OK, right?"

"I hope so." Eli said and looked at Adam. "I just want to give her the best life ever...I've been thinking.."

"Thinking?" Adam asked curiously.

"Never mind.." Eli said and go up. "Its getting late..I better go to bed.."

Adam caught his arm. "Tell me first." He said.

"I want to marry her." Eli said and looked down. "Its dumb really.. I mean why would she say yes? We haven't known each other for a very long time but.." He shook his head, stopping himself.

Adam smiled. "You never know." He said and stood up.

Eli smiled slightly. "Good night, Adam." He turned to go into his room.

"Night." Adam said and walked home.
Clare lay in his bed staring up.

"Baby girl.." Eli whispered sliding into bed next to her, seeing if she was awake.

Clare looked over at him and smiled.

Eli stroked her face. "Your beautiful." He whispered in her ear. He pulled her close.

Clare lay her had on his chest. "I'm not." She whispered.

"Don't ever say that." He said running his hand down her side soothingly. He kissed her forehead.

"It's true. Compared to everyone else i'm nothing." She closed her eyes.

"Clare you are everything." Eli said and ran his hand through her hair.

Clare looked up at him. "I love you."
