Adam pulled up and walked in.

Eli smiled at Adam. "Hey"

"Hey," Adam said and smirked.

"So I'll see you later." Eli whispered in her ear as he gently moved her off his lap.

Clare kissed him quickly. "Don't have too much fun." She said.

Eli smiled and nodded. He walked with Adam. "We need to go downtown."

"Where?" Adam asked.

Eli looked at Adam. "I'll tell you in the car." He said and got in.

Adam nodded and climbed in his truck.

Eli looked at him once he got in. "I'm going to ask her to marry me." He said seriously.

Adam laughed and looked at him. "Really what is it?"

"I am." Eli said and looked at Adam. "I want to be with her forever...and I hope she feels the same..if she doesn't want to then she doesn't want to."

"You're serious?" Adam said wide-eyed. "No other girl at all?" He asked.

"Nope, they are all nothing compared to her." Eli said, "So we need to go to a ring store.."

Adam nodded and started driving that way. "This is big."

"I know.. and I know exactly how I want to do it." He said looking out the window.

"Tell me, Tell me, Tell me, Tell me!" Adam said fast.

Eli laughed. "Well, I am going to talk to the manager of the restaurant. I'm going to have them make her a fancy strawberry short cake, on a big plate. Then in front of the cake there will be the words "Marry Me" in pink letters, then in front of that will be a ring. And of course I will give her a bg speach and everything about how much I lofve her..."

"You spoil that girl too much." Adam said and laughed.

"I know she loves strawberries so much." Eli smiled as they drove.

Adam smiled and parked. "She loves you, you know that right?"

"I sure hope so." Eli said as they got out. He looked at the store front for the jewlery sto, his heart already pounding.

Adam laughed locking the truck. "C'mon, loverboy."

Eli rolled his eyes as they walked in.

Adam looked at him nervous for them both.
