Eli put an arm around Clare. "He seems nice."

She nodded. "He is."

Eli pressed his lips to her forehead. "What not?"

Clare looked down.

He looked down at her. "Wanna go home or something?"

"Sure." She said looking at where Jake had disappeared.

Eli breathed and lead her out to Morty, he could feel that Jake had liked her.

"Something wrong?" Clare asked.

Eli shook his head and started the car. "No..why?"

"You just are acting weird." He said.

"Just thinking, I suppose." He said honestly.

"About what?" She asked.

"Jake." He admitted. "I'm just trying to figure him out, I guess."

"Oh, is somebody jealous?" She asked.

Eli smirked. "Not really." He didn't want to admit how protective he was of her.

"Good. He's just a friend now." She said, and took his hand.

"I know." He said. "I don't think I should go to that dinner tonight." He said looking at the road.

"What dinner?" She asked wondering if she'd forgotten something important.

"Didn't Jake invite you to dinner?" Eli asked and glanced at her.

"Oh. Eli..." She shook her head. "The Ravine isn't exactly a resturant." She said.

"I've never heard of it." He admittted. "What is it?"

"Just a little place we used to hang out." She said.
