Eli smiled and kissed her hand softly.

"Mmm. I love you." She breathed.
Jake looked at her.

Eli nodded. "You too." He looked at Jake. "You two should hang out and catch up one time." He suggested.

Clare nodded and smiled warmly at Jake. "I'm still mad at you for leaving..."

"I had no choice!" He said, his eyes regretful

Eli listened curiously, but didn't want to ask.

"Still. When you left everything turned to hell." She whispered.

Jake looked down. "Clare,"

"Should I leave.." Eli asked not wanting to be in the way.

Clare shook her head, tightening her grip on his hand.

Jake looked up at her.

Eli got the message and stayed.

Clare looked out the window.

"Are you staying with your brother?" Jake asked.

Eli looked at Jake. Why would I let her live with that monster? He thought.

Clare shook her head. "No. I'm staying with Eli."

"Good." Jake said, glancing at him.

Eli nodded. And looked at Clare again, he took a sip of her coffee, feeling quite thirsty.

Clare smiled and look at him. "Stealer."

Eli smiled. "I couldn't resist."

"Oh?" She said and smiled.

Jake watched them

"Mhm.." He said and raised his eyes brows at her. He winked.

"You're so amazing." Clare whispered and kissed him.

Jake stiffened.

Eli smiled and kissed her back then pulled away and smiled.

Jake looked down at his phone and sighed. "I have to get ready for work. Ravine tonight?" He asked.

Clare laughed. "I haven't been there since you left," She nodded. "I'll meet you there at 7."

Jake smiled and stood up.

Eli smiled and looked at Clare.

Clare ran into Jakes arms. "Byee."

"Bye, Clare." He said.

Eli smiled and stood. "Nice meeting you."

Jake smiled and nodded. He let go of Clare and walked out the door.
